Josefine is currently pursuing her Masters in Global Health with a focus on disasters and adaptation from King’s College London. Previously, she studied Global Political Economy in Germany (MA), focusing her dissertation on how natural hazards affect small and medium enterprises in Latin America.


Ever since she spent an exchange year in Uruguay, when she was 16, her main interest has always been Latin America. During her undergraduate studies, she also spent a semester abroad in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.

In her free time, she has been volunteering for the German Red Cross in supporting refugee women and children in Germany.
 

Josefine is very interested in communicable diseases, especially how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected vulnerable population groups in Latin America.

Qualifications:

BA European Studies, MA International Relations
