Lina Toncón Chaparro

Lina is a Colombian nurse. She has a postgraduate diploma in Public Health Management at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and now she is studying for a Masters in Global Health and Development at University College London.
She has previous experience in health promotion, occupational health, safety at work, and health management. Currently, she is working for a Colombian private health institution as a quality manager.
Lina has researched the medicalisation of work, the effects of air pollution on children’s health and her current research interests are to explore, from an intersectional approach, the barriers to sexual and reproductive health care access that women and the LGBTQIA+ community face, particularly transgender and nonbinary people.
